When I travel I like to look at the different architecture. I recently was blown away by a beautiful staircase. It was made out of iron and wood. It wrapped around and was beautiful in every way. I had never thought of using iron and wood in a staircase but this one made complete sense. It fit in with everything outside the building as well as everything on the inside of the building.

When I first saw the wrought iron railings I didn’t know what to think. I hadn’t even thought they could be used so seamlessly with a beautiful piece of oak wood. But they pulled it off and I loved it. I will look into it on my next project.

These photos were taken on October 2011. It was a business trip with a side trips around Singapore’s popular theme parks. Our first stop was in Universal Studios Singapore.

As soon as we entered the park, we were graced with the Kungfu Panda himself! The kids went bonkers! They ran and started to queue for a photo ops with the big man.

The kids surely had a blast as shown in this wacky post.
