Visiting Davao City and getting a firsthand experience of what “safe and wonderful city” it truly is easily encourages travellers to come back. Davao City is tagged as one of the safest cities in the world. But more than that, it is rich in cultural, environmental and historical pieces that are worth discovering. Many rave over the food in Davao – sea foods and fresh fruits are abundant and sells cheaply in the city. Those who travel here is sure bring home boxes of juicy and sweet Pomelo or Mangosteen. The people of Davao are proud of their homeland and will go out of their way to express genuine kindness and hospitality to those who visit their city.
It was a blessing in disguise that we decided to finally move to Davao. I have been planning to move back to the province after living in Manila for almost 20 years but the place was not fixed yet, after numerous visits to Cebu, Davao, Dumaguete and Cagayan de Oro weighing all the options possible – Davao came out first! And voila! My family is now happily living in the “Durian Capital of the Philippines – DAVAO”!
